Sybil Evelyn Rogers, 83, of Longmont, Colorado, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Peaks Care Center, Longmont. Sybil was born August 28, 1923 in Hendrix, Oklahoma, to Luther and Alice (Hart) Herndon. She enjoyed a long career in surgical nursing and in the healthcare field. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and being a very special part of their lives. Survivors include her son, Michael Mangrum of Lodi, California; her daughter, Candace Wasson and her husband, Mike, of Longmont; a sister, Donna Mercure of Martinez, California; and five grandchildren, Michael, Brianne and Deanna Wasson, and Greg and Josh Mangrum. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brothers, Joe, A.C., and Mickey Herndon. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont. Private services and burial will be in Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, California.
