we cannot believe its been 2 years since your passing. missing you much and now young Don has passed too. the loss of two great people is hard to comprehend but that is life.

I first met Sue at St. Francis of Assisi when we were at the Trade Center building before our beautiful new church.  We served together as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and she always graciously covered for me when I was scheduled but could not be there for some reason.  From the moment my daughter was born 12 years ago, Sue fell in love with her.  Over the years, Sue became like an adopted grandmother to my daughter.  They would greet each other with smiles and huge hugs every time they saw each other (I got hugs too).  About 7 years ago I taught first grade religious education at St. Francis, and Sue was my aide.  She was so wonderful with the children, and I was so glad to have her by my side.  I got to know her well during our time teaching, and it was during that year that my daughter became so attached to her, as she and Sue would visit with each other before class began while I was preparing for class.  Their friendship was wonderful to see, and even to the last time we saw her, she made such a fuss over my daughter and always exclaimed how beautiful she was.  The look on my daughter's face each time was priceless, as was Sue.  We miss her so much!  She was so beautiful inside and out.  We were privileged to know her, and please know that we are keeping her family in our prayers.  Special thanks to Sue's stepdaughter who approached us after the funeral.  Your mother was an amazing lady!

The staff of the American Cancer Fund® at www.AmericanCancerFund.org is sorry to hear of Suzanne’s passing. We have received a memorial donation in her name and our sincere condolences go out to her family.  

Sue was a dear friend.  I will miss her bright smile.  We had many great times playing games and just plain talking.  We were both very, very good at that.  Talking that is.  I am another Iowa girl.  Sue from  the NW me from the Iowa City area.  Rest in peace my wonderful Sue.


One of Sue's gifts was her wonderful hospitality.  She loved to have people over to her home (as shone in the photo!)  Whether it was for a birthday, movie night, or a fun dice game, these gatherings were a gift of her heart to her friends.  She made me feel so welcomed when I moved to Longmont.  I will miss my dear friend in Christ!
