Steven Richard Armstrong

Steve Armstrong, 61, passed away at home on May 19, 2023, after years of fighting cancer and several surgeries.

Steve was born to D. Gene and LaVonne Armstrong on November 28, 1961 in Breckenridge, MN. He moved with the family to Colorado in 1978 and lived in several towns around the state before settling in Longmont, Colorado. He worked several years in heating and air conditioning. He always said if he had a roll of duct tape and Elmer’s glue he could fix anything. Steve was always a jokester. He loved dressing up for any holiday and would always answer the phone “Happy Easter”, whatever the occasion.

Steve is survived by his long-time partner Lynda Christensen and her son Brandyn; mother, LaVonne Armstrong; sisters, Naomi (Nigel) Young of Alaska, Tanya (Craig) Hawkins of Colorado, brother Kevin (Karri) Armstrong of Tennessee, half-sisters, Barbara Edmaiston of Texas, Kay Scott of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, D. Gene Armstrong and nephew Michael Armstrong.
