She was a devoted wife, mother, and Grandma. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1960. Shirley married the love of her life, Jim (Tiny) Tomczak, on November 3rd, 1961, at the First Christian Church in Longmont. They had two sons: Don Tomczak and his wife Ryndel, and Ron Tomczak and his wife Wendy, and three grandsons: Dexter, Dugan, and Dylan. They farmed in the Hygiene area until 1984.
Shirley was a farmer's wife and a production worker in town at Camp 7, lveon, and Concepts Direct for 30 years. Shirley enjoyed cooking and baking, fishing at their Red Feather Property, and Sunday morning gatherings with her friends and family. She also loved and enjoyed her Grandsons. Some of her favorite things are John Wayne, Elvis, and her favorite color purple.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Jim (2008), brother, and both parents. She is survived by two nieces, six nephews, and many cousins, whom she loved so much.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hygiene United Methodist Church on June 7, 2024 at 2:30 pm. Desserts and refreshments will be served in honor of Mom's love for baking.
