Scott was born on March 5, 1980 in Boulder to Jack “Jake” Edson and Jane Sayre. He was raised in Longmont, Colorado, graduating from Skyline High School in 1998. At Skyline, he was involved in academics, FBLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, student government, and athletics. He lettered three years in golf and two in basketball.
Scott graduated from Arizona State University in 2003 with a degree in Business-Communications.
He married Robyn Jameson, the love of his life, on August 11th 2007 in Avon, Colorado.
A talented and passionate young man, he tried and succeeded at many endeavors. Following college, he joined his mother, step-father, and brother in the retail shoe business. They operated stores in Arvada and Denver. More recently, he joined the trucking industry, working as an account broker. Here he coordinated destinations, routes, and loads for shipping numerous goods and products across greater North America.
More than anything, Scott loved his family, friends, music, and the game of golf dearly. He relished game nights, holiday gatherings, concerts, sporting events, trips to Maui, and especially watching The Masters golf tournament. His passion for golf included playing with friends and family on a regular basis. His golf idols were his grandfather Les Sayre and professional Freddy Couples. He followed the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, CU Buffaloes Football, and the UNC Tar Heels basketball program. He assisted in coaching the Legacy High School Girls Swim Team.
Aside from sports, Scott was a huge Dave Matthews Band and U2 fan – attending many of their shows. He loved to cook, eat hot dogs, play the guitar, watch his favorite TV shows, share stories of love and laughter, and play with his dogs Lucy and Izzy.
His infectious enthusiasm for life rubbed off on everyone he came into contact with and made each person feel uniquely special.
