Sarah Jane Archuleta of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, while surrounded by her family. Born on May 18, 1943, to Paul Archuleta and Amparo Hernandez of Denver, CO, Sarah spent her entire life in Denver, before retiring and moving to Longmont.
Sarah worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and was very active in AA in the past. She also volunteered for many groups and organizations throughout her lifetime, including A Way Forward. She belonged to The Red Hats Society where she got to go on her only cruise. In her younger days, she loved dancing. More recently, she loved doing jigsaw puzzles, Elvis Presley and traveling until she was no longer able to. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends.
Sarah's legacy is carried on by her son, Daniel Chacon, daughters, Sally Gonzales (Ben), April Mestas (Steve) and Robin Chacon. as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Sonny Archuleta and sister, Deborah Martinez and a grandson.
Sarah requested no services are held and she wished for her ashes to be spread in the Poudre Canyon river where her grandson is. A private memorial will be held at that time.
