Roger Alan Morrison, 62 of Longmont, passed away June 10, 2019. Roger was born April 3, 1957 in Durango, CO to Ronald and Alice (Banks) Morrison. He lived in several cities growing up including Colorado Springs, Leadville, Henderson and Firestone. He graduated from Erie High School, then later earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems in 1997.After graduation, Roger served in the United States Marine Corps for three years. On December 27, 1975, he married Cindy Evig in Longmont, CO. When he was honorably discharged from the Marines, Roger moved to Longmont, CO, where he began working at Ball Aerospace. Roger worked with Ball Aerospace for over twenty years and then worked at NOAA on the Wind Profiler System. In 2006, he and his son, Andy, started their own company, Snappy Auctions, until 2009.Roger enjoyed tinkering and fixing anything and everything he could get his hands on. He loved gardening, fishing and working on the farm. He was a loving husband and father and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Roger is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cindy Morrison; and a brother, Rodney Morrison. He is survived by his children, Andy (Kamber) Morrison of Fort Lupton, Kylie Morrison of Longmont and Nevaeh Morrison; as well as two brothers, Dan (Debbie) Morrison and Don (Christine) Morrison.Memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Inurnment to follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.Roger would wish everyone come dressed in WHATEVER they feel comfortable in. T-shirt and blue jeans were Rogers favorite attire.
