Rochelle Jacobs (Dejez)

Rochelle Jacobs passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, April 8, 2014. An energetic member of the El Cerrito community and the surrounding neighborhoods for the last 41 years, her forthright nature and generous spirit left a positive mark on the many organizations in which she participated. Although her life was far too short, it was well-lived; filled with a passion for travel, the theatre, needlework, and Bunco.

Rochelle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen Jacobs. The two would have been married 56 years. She is survived by her sister, Elinor Burton, and devoted children, Jenny Seifers and Melissa Schultz. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John, Allison, Michaela and Wesley (whom they and their friends affectionately called ""Nana""), as well as an extended family and a bevy of friends whom she cherished beyond words.

For family and friends who wish to pay their respects, Rochelle will be returned to her husband’s side at Rolling Hills Memorial Park (4100 Hilltop Dr., Richmond, CA 94803) in The Garden of Tel Shalom on Friday, April 11 at 11AM.
