Rebecca was one of three children born to Adolph and Jane. She grew up in Orange County with her family, eventually graduating from Orange High School in 1982. From an early age, music had always been a large part of Rebecca’s life. She loved listening to the uplifting melodies of Van Morrison and Elton John especially. For a number of years, Rebecca lived in Orange County before deciding a change of pace was needed. Moving away from the hustle and bustle of California, she settled in Littleton, CO in 1994, where she would stay for the rest of her life. She married Noble Shaw and had two children- Temple and Ryan. Although they eventually divorced, Rebecca and Noble would remain good friends, raising their kids together.
Aside from being a mother, Rebecca held jobs as a manager at the Kids Club at 24 Hour Fitness, and at Goodwill. She was a generous and non-judgmental spirit that had a great sense of humor. She was always the life of the party, loved to have fun, and loved animals (especially dogs). But more than anything else in the world, she loved her children. Things had become difficult when she got sick, but her children stayed by her side and took great care of her until her passing that Wednesday afternoon.
Rebecca was best known as a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, friend, and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her daughter Temple Shaw (Max) of Longmont, CO; daughter Brandi Gonzales and grandson Dante Gonzales of OK; her son Ryan Shaw of Littleton, CO; her mother Jane Pittman of Corona, CA; brother Alden Pittman and sister Jane Esposito, both of Corona, CA.
