

Patricia Jean ""Patti"" Bliss of Longmont, died November 21, 2009 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 57.Patti was born on February 24, 1952 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Robert Overholser and Janice Motsinger. Raised in Boulder she graduated from Boulder High School in 1970.Patty married Rockie Bliss on January 23, 1974 in Boulder.Patti had a 33-year career with Quest Communications working in management area.She later found what she really loved professionally, joining both Globus and Explore America Tours. Here she took both foreign exchange students and senior adults on National Park Tours. She thoroughly enjoyed the research, coordination, narration and director responsibilities for the company and more importantly their guests. Patti also enjoyed the mountains and hiking and will be remembered as a continually happy and expressive person.Patty was a member of both LifeBridge Christian Church and Harvest Church of Boulder. Her family was her love and focus, following her son's athletic careers in their youth. Preceding her in death was a daughter Desiree Dawn Bliss.Surviving are her husband of Longmont, two sons Brandon (Mariko) Bliss of Seoul, South Korea and Brody (Julie) Bliss of Buffalo, Oklahoma; her parents of Longmont; grandchildren Remington and Gunnar Bliss of Buffalo; a brother Duane Overholser of Mead and a sister Sharon (Ed) Pacheck of Pueblo. She is further survived by Godchildren Christian (Dominique) Griffin of San Diego; Kimberly Griffin of Los Angeles and Gianna Griffin of San Diego.Visitation hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Howe Mortuary Community Room.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend Brody Bliss officiating.
