February 23, 1944 in New York City, NY to Robert and Georgianna Dryburgh and grew up in Williamstown, Mass. She graduated from Williamstown High School and then received her Diploma of Nursing from Greenwich Hospital School of Nursing in 1964. She remained a member of First Congregational Church in Williamstown.
Over the years she worked in New York, Connecticut , Michigan, Maryland, and California. She was a registered nurse at Longmont United Hospital for 32 years.
She married James Lahnanen in 1969. They later divorced. There were no children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert and her ex-husband. She is survived by special friends in the Longmont area.
Her favorite thing to do was cruising. She went on 60 cruises and spent nearly 1000 days at sea. She visited the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Alaska, Eastern Canada, Mexico, South America, Hawaii, and many islands in the South Pacific. Her favorite cruise was across the North Atlantic and around Greenland, Iceland, United Kingdom, France and Amsterdam with the viewing of large icebergs. She made many long term friends on these cruises.
There will be no local services. Cremation was held by Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, with interment to be next to her mother at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery in NY. Memorial donations may be made to Longmont Humane Society or Ocean Conservancy, Washington DC
