Michael Trevithick died at his home in Hygiene, CO on March 14, 2008 of heart complications. He was 52.Michael Paul Trevithick was born August 8, 1955 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota to Pierre D. and Cynthia R. (Hegge) Trevithick. He grew up in Longmont and graduated from Longmont High School in 1973. Mike attended Front Range Community College where he earned an Associates Degree. Mike married Penny Sadar on May 7, 1983 at his wife's families cabin on the South St. Vrain.Mike was a heavy equipment operator in the area. Mike enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He could do just about everything and was described as a ""jack of all trades and a master of most."" Mike had a big heart and would do just about anything for anyone. He was always concerned about the welfare of others before thinking of himself.Mike was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Trevithick and a sister, Kandi Trevithick-Brownlow.Mike is survived by his wife Penny of Hygiene; his son Cody of Longmont; his daughter, Miriah Trevithick and her husband Nick Wachholtz of Frederick; his grandson, Robbie Wachholtz; his father, Pierre Trevithick and his wife Sandy of Longmont; his mother, Cynthia Miller of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two brothers: Mark Trevithick of Longmont and Richard Miller and his wife Kelli Jones of Denver; Sister, Karen Gunvaldson and her husband Emmett of Flandreau, South Dakota; sister in law, Tammy Daniels of Longmont; his grandfather, Joe Threvithick of Longmont, and numerous nieces and nephews.Private family services to celebrate Mike's life will be held at a later time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary of Longmont.Memorial contributions may be given to the Hygiene Volunteer Fire Department or the Hygiene Cemetery c/o Howe Mortuary.
