Mary Ivory Pelk

Mary Ivory Pelk, of Lyons CO, died Thursday, June 29, 2023. Mary was born June 16, 1950 in the small town of Mt. Pleasant, UT to parents Ellis Clark Ivory and Mary Erma Nielsen. Mary grew up in Salt Lake City and St. George, UT along with her two older brothers and sister, Ellis, George and Vonda.

She graduated from High School and attended Brigham Young University for about 2 years. During her working career she was an executive assistant and office manager in real estate, Venture Capital, and educational products companies.

Mary married her husband, Jerry, in June 1984, and moved with her husband and daughter Stephanie, to Colorado also in 1984. Mary held Christian beliefs. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had an excellent singing voice and enjoyed music. She also enjoyed traveling with trips to several countries and throughout the US.

Mary is survived by her husband Jerry Pelk, her two sons Shaun and Cameron Usman and her daughter Stephanie Shubert. Her eight grandchildren are Erin, Nathen, Ivory, Anya, Rose, Alisha, Sarena, and Ilyana. Mary was beloved as Grandma Mary to Joshua, Kylie, Branden, Jozlyn, Daphne, and Chandler. Her brother Ellis resides in Salt Lake City.

Mary was a light in this world and is dearly missed.

A celebration of life for Mary will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Howe Mortuary Chapel, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Following the celebration of life will be a reception at 11:00 AM at Howe Mortuary Reception Room, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501.

Memorial contributions my be made to a charity of your choosing in Mary's name.

Cremation is entrusted to Howe Mortuary & Crematory of Longmont, Colorado.
