Marvin Dee Petersen

Marvin Dee Petersen, 84, passed away March 27, 2017 at his home. He was born January 15, 1933 in Curtis, Nebraska to Clarence W. and Lucile (Smiley) Petersen. He graduated from McCook High School. On July 31, 1952, he married Lula Hidy at the Methodist Church in McCook, Nebraska. He served in the US Air Force December 1952 to December 1956. They moved to Colorado in 1957 and lived in Commerce City, Arvada, Niwot and Longmont. Marvin worked for Caterpillar Tractor in Denver, Flatiron Co. in Boulder and Tarco, Inc in Arvada. He retired in 1998. He was member of the Longmont Astronomical Society. Marvin is survived by his wife Lula, sons Craig and Kirk, his brother Alan and many cousins in both Colorado and Nebraska. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 5, 2017 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
