Margaret “Maggie” Spangler passed away on May 26, 2024. Maggie was born September 23, 1933, to Martin and Zula Vancil in Longmont Colorado.
She had two older brothers, Gene Vancil and Martin “Tiny” Vancil who proceeded her in death.
Maggie was a beloved schoolteacher at Erie Elementary for many years. She then became a sorority house director at the Kappa House in Boulder at CU.
She leaves behind her sons Mac Whitely, Phil Whitely, her daughter Laurie Ronan, granddaughter Becky Weinzirl, and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Shelby Weinzirl.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to me made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
