Maggie was born on July 25, 1938 in Greeley, CO to Bob and Georgia Echols. She was one of nine children; three girls and six boys. She lived her entire life in Colorado. When she was 16 years old her family was living in Canon City, There she met her future husband Richard “Dick” Cornell. She was 18 and he was 19. Together they had three daughters Carol, Diana and Bonnie. The family moved to Mead, CO in 1974 where they raised their family and still live in the same house to this day.
Maggie drove a school bus for 28 years. She loved to help people and was known to buy coats, snow boots and school supplies for kids who needed them. She loved kids and the kids loved her. She also loved her family; husband, kids, grandkids, parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws and any company that wanted to come over.
Maggie was also the coordinator for the Senior Center for many years as well as a crossing guard until her retirement. In her free time she ran the local food bank and took up painting lessons; she loved to draw and do artwork. Maggie also loved her church and spending time there with friends.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters and three brothers.
Maggie is survived by her husband Dick; her children Carol (Dan) Lyon, Diana (Jesse) Munoz and Bonnie (Jerry) Cameron; her grandchildren Kristen Chase, Ashley Fusco, Tyrel Sindelir, Shelby Florio, Amanda Sparacio, Caitlin Cameron, Melissa Sattler, April Munoz, Jessire Breslin and LaRaesha Kugel; numerous great grandkids; and three brothers Clifford (Theresa) Echols, Roger (Judy) Echols and Roy (Janie) Echols.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:0pm on Wednesday January 4, 2023 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and her funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday January 5, 2023 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Goodbye my dear family and friends, “I Love you All”, please do not grieve for me, I lived a good life and also know I will love the hereafter.
