Lori Rae (Rotter) Bliss, 53, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016, in Longmont. Born on October 18th, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, Lori was the youngest daughter of Rodger and Jean Rotter. Lori is survived by her beloved daughter, Terri Jean (Bliss) Maples and her husband, Jamie. In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, Lori is also survived by her sister, Liann Scott and her husband, Greg, and sons, Rhett and Cameron, of Loveland; and her sister-in-law Patricia Rotter of Longmont and her two daughters, Holly and Samantha, of Westminster, CO. She is also very much missed by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and of course the family cats, Tommy and Godfrey. Lori is joining many loved ones in Heaven, including her mother and father, and her brother Kurt Rotter, all whom preceded her in death.
Lori lived a simple life, with motherhood being her largest joy. She enjoyed crocheting, and once crocheted 15 baby blankets and donated them to the Children's Hospital in Denver. She was an expert at the Rubik's Cube, and loved playing cards and Yahtzee. She was a very warm person, making friends easily wherever she went. She will be remembered for her sweet personality, sense of humor, and that infectious smile and laugh she had on her good days. Also, of course, the quirky gifts she put so much thought into that always made us smile.
A graveside service and celebration of Lori’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Mountain View Cemetery, 62 11th Avenue, Longmont, Co. Condolences for the family may be mailed to 914 Alta Street, Longmont, CO 80501.
