Linda Sue Lusso

Linda Sue Lusso, age 80, of Mead, Colorado passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was born July 25, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Maurice and Norma (Hamberger) Lamb. Linda grew up in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School. She attended Midland University and was a graduate of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing.

Linda was married to Armando Freyre and to Bob Lusso and later divorced from them. She moved to the Longmont area in 2012 from Westminster, Colorado.

She was an OBGYN Nurse retiring in 2010.

Linda was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and also attended Guardian Angels Bible study while living in Mead. She enjoyed traveling, reading books about pioneer history, and classical music.

Surviving are her son Domenic Lusso of Mead and her daughters Michelle Applegate of Fort Collins and Kris Waters of Westminster, her brother Rick Lamb and her sister Luann of Colorado. She is further survived by her grandchildren Jesse Applegate, Noah Applegate, Micah Applegate, Micayla Applegate, Brittany Waters and Katie Waters and her great-grandchildren Eliana, Brielle, Livia, Clara-Madeline, Halle, Keziah, Yarra, Mirabella, Malachi, Ezekiel, Yohan and Nalu.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bob and Ron Lamb.

A graveside committal for Linda will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Mizpah Cemetery, 12837 Weld County Road 32, Platteville, Colorado 80651. A reception will follow at 12:30 PM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 520 Marion Avenue, Platteville, Colorado 80651. Following the reception family and friends are invited to enjoy free admission from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Platteville Museum, 502 Marion Avenue, Platteville, Colorado 80651.

Cremation is entrusted to Howe Mortuary & Crematory of Longmont, Colorado.
