Kyra Toledo

Kyra is survived by her mother, Susan Blackburn of Cortez Island, British Columbia, her brother, Tony Toledo and his children of Cortez Island, British Columbia, her sister, Kate Toledo (husband Ralph Stoevener) of Longmont, Colorado, her nieces and nephews Trevor Cano, Elyse Braucht (husband Taylor and great niece and nephew Halle and Ryder), Kevin Toledo, Grant Toledo, Karrah Toledo, and very special friend Jim Mossuto. She is predeceased by her father, Antonio Toledo, brothers Kenneth and Daniel Toledo, and beloved pets Liza, Zoe, Quila, Willie, Molly and Pete.

Kyra was the salutatorian of her graduating class at Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and dedicated her life to helping animals. She spent the last many years of her veterinary career fulfilling a dream of providing affordable and accessible care to any and all in need of her services.

Fiercely independent, lover of nature, spirituality, dogs, good movies, good music, good food and good people.

May we be comforted by the memories of love and laughter,

Inspired by her generous heart,

And reminded to live in gratitude.

Kyra, you are forever at peace now.

A celebration of life will be held on October 26th from 11am to 3pm at The Shupe Homestead (11931 North 61st Street, Longmont, Colorado). A light lunch will be served. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in Kyra’s name.
