Kenneth A. Cordova, 68, of Longmont passed away November 13, 2016 at Longmont United Hospital. Kenny, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was born June 11, 1948 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Edward and Vidalia (Garcia) Cordova. He graduated from Rocky Ford High School, where he participated in several sports, including football, wrestling, and track.Kenny happily retired in 2008 after a 40 year plus 1 day career at Roche Pharmaceuticals in Boulder. He also proudly served 4 years in the US Air Force, and very much enjoyed being stationed in both Texas and Alaska. He married Belinda Richards on May 18, 1985 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, where they were members. Kenny was an avid golfer. One of his favorite places to play was Twin Peaks in Longmont and he was a member of the Twin Peaks Men's Club. He also enjoyed bowling and spent many years on a Monday league at Centennial Lanes. He was a huge Bronco fan, never missing a game, and always coaching them from his favorite arm chair.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Kenny's favorite thing to do was to watch his children participate in all of their activities, always enthusiastically cheering them on from the sideline. Sometimes a little too enthusiastically!He was preceded in death by his parents.Kenny is survived by his wife Belinda; his children Alyssa Stanley (Travis), Brandon Cordova (fiancé Crystal Stafford), and Dustin Cordova; siblings Carol Avila (Bob), David Cordova (Diane), Corinna Sauer (Dave) and Dennis Cordova (Luisa); grandchildren Raegan, Payten, Madesyn, and Austin Stanley. He is also survived by a large extended family and many life-long friends.A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Twin Peaks Golf Course clubhouse. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
