Juliet Ann Wagner, 53, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, at TRU Hospice Care Center in Longmont, Colorado after a courageous battle with EHE, a rare and aggressive form of vascular cancer. Juliet was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While living in Baltimore, Maryland, she studied Fine Arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art before receiving her B.A. in Art History from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her professional accreditations include a paralegal certificate from Denver Paralegal Institute and a massage therapist certificate from Denver Integrative Massage School. She is survived by her partner Mateo Ramos, mother Judith Marshall and her partner Barry McCoy, father and stepmother Bill and Bettielou Wagner, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and stepsiblings, and her rescue cats Jade, Pip, and Sophie.
Juliet was a gentle, passionate explorer of ways to create and deepen connections with others, as well as with herself. As a massage therapist, she worked to ensure that elders received quality companionship, care, and understanding. Her supportive, devoted friends are as numerous and diverse as her interests, which included hiking, mountain biking, aerial dance, tango, aikido, yoga, knitting, gardening, cooking, Tibetan and Zen Buddhism, and bird watching. Juliet spent three years immersed in Zen monastic practice at the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in California where she learned to slow down and see the world around her.
A celebration of Juliet’s life will be held on July 21, 2024, at Lone Hawk Farm (10790 N. 49th Street, Longmont, CO 80503). Doors will open at 10:30 am and the ceremony will begin at 11:00 am. Please contact Mary Rose at [email protected] with questions and RSVPs (appreciated but not mandatory).
