Jennie Rodriguez

Jennie resided in Longmont, Colorado for the past 19 years, grew up in both New Mexico and Longmont, Colorado and also lived in Fort Morgan for 20 years.

Jennie was one of nine children, born November 29, 1948 in Mountain Air, New Mexico to Eugenio S. Maldonado and Elena Quintana Lovato Maldonado. Jennie completed her G.E.D in 1991 and went back to college Fall of 2002 taking Associate of Applied Science Business classes with her daughter, Brandi.

Jennie married Ramon Rodriguez on August 27, 1977 in Longmont, Colorado by Justice of the Peace, sharing two children. Jennie's first marriage was to Jimmy Santiago Garcia on September 16, 1967, sharing four children.

Jennie retired in 2007, once her grandson Jerin was born. She then cared for her grandkids full time. Jennie loved gardening, sewing, going for walks, being with family, caring for pets like they were her kids (Oso, Kitty and Mijo), refurbishing furniture, working on house and yard fixer-upper projects all the way up to this Summer. She was so handy at sewing she redesigned her first wedding dress (added flowers and other intricate details).

Jennie is survived by her mother, husband, six children, five siblings and 16 grandchildren: Elena Maldonado (Mother), Ramon Rodriguez (Husband), Jerry Garcia (Son), Jimmy Garcia (Son), Avery Garcia (Son), Angelo Garcia (Son), Ray Rodriguez (Son), Brandi Mcilvenna (Daughter), Gene Maldonado (Brother), Mary (Elsie) Herrera (Sister), Tina Orozco (Sister), Linda Muniz (Sister), Cathy Pohl (Sister), Mercedes Garcia (Granddaughter), Christina Salomon (Granddaughter), Kayla Garcia (Granddaughter), Janelle Garcia (Granddaughter), Kristopher Garcia (Grandson), Isaiah Garcia (Grandson), Maxwell Nelson (Grandson), Alexus Garcia (Granddaughter), Julian Macias (Grandson), Destini Garcia (Granddaughter), Avery Jr. Garcia (Grandson), Julian Garcia (Grandson), Isidro Garcia (Grandson), Jerin Mcilvenna (Grandson), Rayne Garcia (Granddaughter), JohnnyRay Mcilvenna (Grandson), Jenae Mcilvenna (Granddaughter).

Jennie was preceded in death by Eugenio Maldonado (Father), John Maldonado (Brother), Irene (Guerra) Maldonado (Sister) and Richard Maldonado (Brother).

Jennie's Celebration of Life will be held on October 24, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 3:00 p.m. at Affolter Park (1400 Holly Ave, Longmont, CO 80501).
