Jeffrey Fay Pickett, 51, of Frederick, CO died March 18, 2021 after a brief but courageous battle with COVID-19. He was born June 30, 1969 in Denver, CO to Diana (Pearson) and Stanley Pickett. Jeff was a graduate of Rangeview High School before attending UNC, where he played on the football team. He also honorably served as a Seabee in the United States Navy. On September 11, 1994, he married the love of his life, Heidi Lynn Hagen, in Loveland, CO.
Jeff and Heidi were blessed with three wonderful children. They enjoyed making every day an adventure together. Jeff had a special way of making everyday chores into memorable moments.
Jeff enjoyed model railroading and photography but mostly he enjoyed the time spent with his family. He coached his boys baseball teams, liked to watch his boys play hockey and loved family fishing trips. He was a man of faith and was a member of LifeBridge Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife Heidi Pickett and their sons Caleb and Conner Pickett of Frederick, CO and his brother Matt (Heather) Pickett of Eaton, CO. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Jana Taff, father-in-law Rick Taff, his brother-in-law Corey Hagen of Johnstown, CO and his sister-in-law Amanda Taff of Denver, CO.
Preceding Jeff in death are his parents and his daughter Lauren Pickett.
A Celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 25 at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont. Inurnment will be in the Burlington Cemetery.
