Janet K. Allmond

Janet K. Allmond, 75, of Longmont passed away November 1, 2019 at Accel at Longmont.She was born November 4, 1943 in Indiana to Frederick and Martha (Mowrey) Hellems. Jan graduated from Madison Heights High School in Anderson, Indiana.Jan spent many years as a professional secretary for the Tampa Electric Company, Tampa, FL, was a Mary Kay sales director in Tampa. She moved to Longmont in 1994 and became an insurance agent providing Medicare supplemental insurance.She was a member of the Tri City Baptist Church in Westminster and the Rocky Mountain Social Club. Jan enjoyed playing cards, quilting, cooking and playing the organ at church.She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Norma Isanogle and Virginia Cripps.Jan is survived by her son Aubrey Allmond and wife Candice, daughter Stephanie Lauffer and husband Darin, two grandchildren Amara Joy and Remington, two step-grandchildren Alexis and Seth and three sisters Betty Shuman, Shirley Hamilton and Carolyn Burns.A celebration of her life for family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Jan's home.
