Henry Kicks Rojas, of Longmont, passed away on March 21, 2017 at Boulder Manor after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 78.Henry was born on March 1, 1939, to Anicito and Natty (Carlin) Rojas in Erie, CO. He was raised in Erie, attending Erie schools through the 9th grade.Henry married JoAnn Cardenas on March 5, 1955, in Erie, CO. In 1968, Henry and JoAnn moved from Erie to Longmont and on their 25th wedding anniversary, they renewed their wedding vows in Erie.Henry worked in the construction industry most of his life, working as a journeyman roofer for various roofing companies along the Front Range. He was a journeyman roofer for over 40 years before retiring in 1996.He enjoyed building, restoring, and detailing classic cars. Henry was also an avid collector of coins, hats, and license plates along with many other items.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Anthony Rojas.Henry is survived by his wife, JoAnn Rojas; son, Al (Lynn) Rojas; daughters, Rosalie (Rick) Gibson and Terry Dinkel; brother, Andy (Jackie) Rojas, Jr.; sister, Ramona Gonzales; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at LifeBridge Christian Church in Longmont with a reception immediately following at the church.
