Glenn W. Hobbs

Glenn W. Hobbs, 81, of Longmont passed away August 6, 2018 at Longmont United Hospital.He was born May 24, 1937 in Frederick, Colorado to Leonard and Catherine (Lucock) Hobbs. Glenn graduated from Erie High School in 1956.On July 28, 1967 he married Karen Kells in her hometown of Eddyville, PA. They met on a blind date after Karen had moved to Colorado.Glenn worked as a food handler for Continental Airlines for 25 years. During the labor difficulties of 1981 Glenn left Continental and went to work for the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont. He retired in 2002.He was one of the founding 9 members of the ColoRODans Longmont car club in 1968. Glenn enjoyed hunting and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.Glenn was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and he raised his kids to have that same faith as well, he loved to share his love for God, and now he is in the presence of his Lord forever.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Leonard Hobbs, Jr. and Clifford Hobbs.Glenn is survived by his wife Karen, daughters Cathy Moore (husband Jimmy) and Tammy Hobbs, and two grandsons Jacob and Joshua Moore.Viewing and visitation will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
