He graduated from New Canaan High School and then served in the US Navy stationed in Spain. He worked several years at Pennoyer's Garage before delivering oil for Home Oil in New Canaan. He was married to Betsy Fox for 51 years. They had two sons Timothy and Christopher who each have two daughters Cora, Etta, Clover and Luna.
After leaving New Canaan they moved to Canaan where he worked for Lindell's for the next 28 years. Upon retirement they moved to Colorado to be near the kids and grandkids. He worked again for 13 years for his son's business Reinholt Tree Care. He passed away after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his wife, sons and grandkids, four sisters, Eleanor, Judy, Barbara, Nancy and one brother Fred and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sister Anna and his brother David.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is best remembered by his mechanical wisdom and knowledge of old tractor engines, antique trucks and various other "old school" methods of repairing things.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Colorado in June at the Reinholt Tree Care place of business where he spent most of his days working. His presence will be known as the stories will flow and the laughter will be heard. He was a good honest hardworking man to all who knew him.
