George Martinez, Jr.December 15, 1950 “ April 6, 2019George Martinez, Jr passed away peacefully on April 6, 2019 at his home. He was 68 years old.George was born December 15, 1950 in Longmont, CO to George and Elsie (Gonzales) Martinez, Sr. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1969 and served in the U.S. Army for a short time following his graduation. On November 26, 1971 he married Donna Humphrey in Longmont.George began working in his father's barbershop George's Barbershop in Longmont as a barber before joining IBM and working there for 23 years. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed computers and spending time with his God children.He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Martinez, and his parents.George is survived by his wife of 47 years Donna; his son Alex Martinez; his sister; his God children Jasmine, Marissa, David and Zachary; and numerous cousins.Services to be held at a later date.
