Elaine J. Vogel

Elaine J. (Leinweber) Vogel passed to her heavenly home on February 6th 2016. She and her loved ones claim the Biblical promise that absent from the body, is present with The Lord. She is now in the presence of her Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, whom she trusted in as a teenager, and then sought to serve Him the rest of her life.Elaine was a lifelong resident of the Longmont area, except for a period of 3 years in the 1960's. She and her husband served on a missionary team working behind the iron curtain, based in Salzburg, Austria.Elaine loved to teach and after college and graduate school taught at Erie middle and high school for 27 years. She then continued to teach various ladies Bible classes.Elaine is survived by her husband Ron and her brother Ron Leinweber (Judy). Also by her mother-in-law Alvena Vogel and sister-in-law Barbara Barnes (Barry). She is survived by six nephews and one niece.Viewing will be at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel from 4-6 pm Thursday February 11th. Burial will be at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery at 11:00 am Friday February 12th, to be followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church on 15th avenue west of Main street.
