

Dustin W. Bollacker of Ft. Collins, died June 2, 2008 in LaPorte, Colorado. He was 24.Dustin was born in Ft. Collins on September 10, 1983 to Richard Bollacker and Susan Thomsen Bollacker. He moved to Longmont in 1990. Dustin attended Skyline High School, where he lettered on the soccer team and graduated in 2002.For the past few years, Dustin attended Colorado State University where he was in the Fishery Biology program. Dustin was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, where he was active in the youth group. He attained is Eagle Scout while in high school. He belonged to Wildlife Explorer Post 122 in high school. He has more recently been a volunteer for the Division of Wildlife, at the fish hatchery in Bellevue. He recently started playing soccer again with the Longmont co-ed adult league. An outdoorsman, he was an accomplished fisherman. He also took interest in aquarium fish, having built two large aquariums, stocked with numerous species of fish. Surviving him are his parents, a brother Chad Bollacker, a sister Valerie Walker and her husband Dillon all of Longmont; two grandmothers, Joanne Thomsen of Fremont, Nebraska and Helen Bollacker of Wheatridge; and niece and nephews Kaylie and Toby Bollacker and Donnie Rademacher of Longmont.The family will greet friends at the Howe Community Room from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 8. The casket will remain closed.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2008 at Messiah Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kent Schnegelberger officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
