Douglas Carlton Pearson (74)Born: June 17, 1943, in Chicago, IL, to Eloise V. and Carlton J. Pearson (deceased)Doug was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Gini, for 39 years.Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sisters Marsha (Don) Hovde and Christine Stilson; a brother, Craig; and nephews, nieces, and great nieces.Graduate of Boulder High School.Served as an MP in the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, Ft. Riley, Kansas, where he qualified as a sharp shooter. After leaving the military, he was a shift commander in the Boulder County Sheriff's Department and a member of the Lafayette Police Reserves, receiving commendations from both. He moved onto IBM in manufacturing and warehousing, retiring from LexMark as an Expediter. Memorable also to Doug was his employment at StorageTek.Doug was a member of the American Legion, a former member and officer of Moose Lodge 1548, and an NRA certified firearms instructor at the Boulder Rifle Club. His other interests were photography, creative computer graphics and reading the Christian writings of C.S. Lewis and Henry Morris. His sparkling eyes, smile and sense of humor will be missed by many.Memorial services will be held 1:30pm Monday September 18, 2017 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
