Dorene was born January 3, 1930 in Union Township, Ringgold County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Vera McConnell. Her favorite pastime was reading and she enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all.
Dorene was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Kenneth "Red" Embree and Kenneth Adams, a sister, Joan Smith, and a brother, Gerald McConnell, and grandchildren, Christopher and Kayla. She is survived by her six children Kelly Jensen, Shelley (Steve) Lund, Holly (Michael Frazier) Allen, Penny (Fred) Yoder, Kerry (Brad) Abrams, and Brad Embree, as well as 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
