David Joseph Nagle, age 40, of Longmont, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 15, 2024. His family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. He was born on December 15, 1983, in Longmont, Colorado and attended Niwot High School as well as the University of Northern Colorado, and lived in the Longmont area for most of his life.
David was married to Kristeen Bliss Nagle on July 22, 2012. They have two daughters, McKenzie and Avery, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Kristeen; two daughters, McKenzie and Avery; parents, George and Sandra Nagle; siblings, Tom (Annette) Nagle, Jeff (Helen) Nagle, Laura (William) Westler, and Jennifer (Charles) Louden; and a host of nieces and nephews: Kayla (Isaac), Brandon, Evy, Lizzy, Milly, Lexi, Jack, Luke and Levi.
David was a sergeant at the Boulder County Sherriff's Office, where he worked for 15 years. During his service, he was proud to be honored with the Lifesaving Award along with many other recognitions, awards, and certifications. He was a true public servant, and leaves behind many friends, coworkers, and happy memories.
In addition to being a husband, daddy, and a public servant, David spent much of his free time riding his motorcycle, enjoying a beer, and spending time with his family and friends.
Everyone who knew David knew how sarcastic he was. David was full of light and loved to make people laugh. David left a mark on others, even after a single meeting with him.
We will miss David more than words can say.
A celebration of life for David will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Howe Mortuary Chapel, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Following the celebration of life will be a reception from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Oskar Blues Brewery Tasty Weasel Taproom, 1640 South Sunset Street Longmont, Colorado 80501, where we will toast to David and the hero he was.
