She was born in Ft. Madison, Iowa on June 18, 1945 to Harley and Patricia (Hudson) Stephens. She graduated from Littleton High School, Littleton, Colorado in 1963 and attended Colorado University. She married Edward K. Wall in 1965 who graduated from dental school at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH.
Her husband went into the Army and a son, Max Edward, was born to them at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Ed Wall was deployed to Viet Nam and the couple was divorced after his return.
Carole moved to Boulder, CO with Max. She married Robert D. Gardinier in Boulder, 1974 and they moved to Longmont, CO in 1976.
She always loved music, playing the piano since fourth grade and singing in choirs. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and gardening and worked in several natural health stores. Hiking, camping, snowshoeing were lifelong interests.
The most important aspect of her life was her relationship with Jesus. She attended Bible studies and most recently was a member of Epiphany Anglican Fellowship in Longmont. Her love for her family was her second most important aspect in life.
Carole is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Max Wall and his wife, Alice along with their three children, Julia and twins, Grayson and Sheridan; step-daughter, Nicole and her son, Graham. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alicia Wilson; step-son, Jeffrey Gardinier.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Carole's life will be held at a later date.
