Carin Marie Kent

Born May 8, 1947, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019, from respiratory complications, she was 72 years old.

Carin was born in Doctors’ Hospital in Washington, D.C., however her parents resided in Hyattsville, MD.

She later moved to Michigan with her family and then to Colorado in the early 1960’s landing in Longmont in 1962.

After graduating from Longmont High School in 1966, Carin worked as a nurses aid at Longmont United Hospital and was given an opportunity for a paid scholarship to attend “Licensed Practical Nursing School” while working at LUH. It was at Longmont United Hospital where Carin cared for a special patient that would later become her husband of 46 years. Arthur L. Kent and Carin were married on March 10, 1973 at St John’s Catholic Church in Longmont.

Later in her married life, Carin worked at Boulder Manor where she eventually retired from. While at Boulder Manor, Carin earned her Registered Nurse degree combining work and school in her daily life. She touched many lives while working at Boulder Manor. When she later became a patient herself, she was lovingly welcomed back by the staff she had worked with.

Carin loved her dogs, cake decorating, bowling, softball (in her earlier years!) and most of all caring for others. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband Arthur Kent, step daughter Shawn Fox, her sister, Janet Kreibich White and husband Reginald White, sister in law, Linda Kreibich, nieces Janine & Braden White, Tara Collier, Erin Ross, grand nieces and nephews Ashley Baessler, Natalie Collier, Christopher & David Maguire, Ethan, Justin, & Matthew Ross.
