Bonnie Kay Kyhn, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on the 77th birthday with her daughters by her side. She was born on December 18, 1943 in Storm Lake Iowa, to Troy and Gladys (Langner) Frantz.
Her family moved to Colorado in 1950, where she grew up on the farm and attended schools in the Longmont area. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1962. After graduation she started her 49 ½ year career at the Longmont Clinic. She worked herself up from a receptionist to the Transcription and Medical Records Manager. In 1996 she was awarded the clinics Employee of the Year by her co-workers for her friendliness, loyalty and commitment to her work.
Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the yard, playing golf with friends, dancing, shopping, collecting butterflies, and doing her daily cross word puzzles. She also had a love for dogs and owned several through her lifetime.
Bonnie is proceeded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving daughters, Kimberly (Andrew) McNeill and Kolleen Meier, both of Longmont, CO; cherished grandchildren Kelsey (Dawlton) Cole, Savanah McNeill, Noah McNeill and Kenna Meier; precious great-granddaughter Charley Cole, and baby sister due in April; and one older brother Don Frantz (Janis) of Calgary, Canada.
Bonnie had a big heart and full of much love and compassion for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed, but always in our hearts.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 28 at Howe Mortuary from 6:00-8:00PM. Private service to be held on December 29 with final resting place at Mountain View Cemetery.
Visitation for Bonnie will be open to the public on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A private service will take place on Tuesday.
