She was born October 31, 1938 in Canyon City, Colorado, the only child to Lewis Merle and Osie McCall Davis. She grew up in Canyon City, graduating from Canyon City High School. In 1969, she moved up to Longmont, taking a job as Ward Secretary at Longmont United Hospital, where she worked until the time of her retirement in 2010.
Betty had a special interest in quarter horses, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and her beloved pet dachshunds. She was crafty and enjoyed making jewelry and crocheting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be missed.
Betty is survived by her children, Troy Lewis Sielsky, James Bratcher, Jim Eggelston, Cindy Bratcher, and Terry Summerville, grandchildren, Charity Heggestad, and Hooker Heggestad, and by her great-grandchildren, Arwen, Araya, & Hank Heggestad. She had a very special relationship with the staff at Waneka Park Assisted Living (formerly The Legacy) and the Kidney Center of Lafayette. She considered them to be family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Osie Davis, her husbands, Norman Lee Eggelston and Jim Muller, and her daughter Sheila Maxine Sielsky Thompson.
