She was born on May 17, 1933 in Oconto, WI to the late Julius and Nellie (Wychulis) Kazlauckas. Bea graduated from Oconto High School in 1951 and married her high school sweetheart Carlton J. Hanna on May 1st, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oconto, WI and were married for 67 years.
Bea is survived by her four children: Timothy (Beverly) Hanna of Cambridge Minnesota; Cindy Bona (Adolph III), Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; Patricia Calawerts (Chris), Suamico, Wisconsin; and John Hanna, Longmont, Colorado. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren: Richelle Pullis (Troy), Mound, Minnesota; Carlton (Anna) Hanna, Bozeman, Montana; Rebeccah Fruchtenbaum (Ian), New Hope, Minnesota; Robin Langen Kamp (Jeff), Howard, Wisconsin; Adolph IV (Laurie) Bona, Green Bay, Wisconsin; Hannah Scholl (Neil), Neenah, Wisconsin; Nicholas (Ann) Bona, Green Bay, Wisconsin; Shawn (Carlyn) Bona, Lakewood, Colorado; Jennifer McGavock (Bill), Green Bay, Wisconsin; Elizabeth Ariens (Nicholas), Green Bay, Wisconsin; Stephanie Kelly (Domenic), Howard, Wisconsin; Joseph Calawerts (Fiancé Goli), Austin, Texas; Gabrielle Calawerts, Green Bay, Wisconsin; Jacob Calawerts, Chicago, Illinois; Ashly Hanna (friend Yale), Georgetown, Texas; Michael Hanna (friend Sarah), Longmont, Colorado. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and her sister Julia Culen.
Together, Bea and Carl moved their young family to Brown Deer, Wisconsin in 1959 and New Hope, Minnesota in 1971 to pursue career opportunities. In 1976 they moved back to Wisconsin to own and operate their own commercial refrigeration business in Green Bay. After 10 years, they decided to move to Boulder, Colorado to build, manage and operate 2 car washes in nearby Longmont, Colorado. They eventually built a home in Longmont and made Colorado their home for over 37 years. Bea was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont and part of the Altar Rosary Society and SJB Double Nickel Social Club. She also showed her love for the Rosary by helping to organize Rosary Rallies.
During their 67 years together, Bea and Carl enjoyed hiking, biking, snow skiing and jogging. They ran the Boulder Run for over 20 years. Together with their children and grandchildren, they enjoyed family vacations, camping and going on cruises. In addition to Carl, Bea was also proceeded in death by her brothers Victor (Lucille) Kazlauckas, Anthony (Darlene) Kazlauckas and sisters Alice (Cal) Heisinger, Mathilda (Robert) Cochrane, Josephine (Gene) Stewart, their spouses and brother-in-law Ed Culen. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, July 28, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 350 Emery St., Longmont, CO 80501. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Longs Peak Hospital.
