Barbara June Trevithick

Barbara June Trevithick went home to be with her Lord on October 13, 2024 while at home surrounded by family. Barbara was born in Arlington, South Dakota on April 20, 1937 to Ernest and Catherine (Renich) Anderson. She grew up in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, graduating from Dell Rapids High School in 1955. She married Richard Dean Trevithick of Trent, South Dakota on August 7, 1955. Barbara and Richard moved to Colorado in 1956. In 1967 they moved to Longmont, Colorado.

Barbara and Richard had 3 children, Tim, Beth and Becky. Barbara worked in retail sales and as a dental assistant. She was a member of Calvary Church serving in children’s ministries, and in various women’s groups. She was also a children’s leader for Bible Study Fellowship.

Barbara was an exceptional homemaker. She loved to sew, bake (especially bread), can and freeze produce from their abundant garden, and create handwork and crafts of all kinds.

Barbara’s family was especially important to her. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an exceptional Grammy in every way. For many years at Christmas, her grandkids received flannel pajamas that she sewed for each of them.

Barbara was preceded in death by parents Ernest (ET) and Catherine Anderson, brothers, Roger Anderson and David Anderson and daughter Rebecca McLean. She is survived by husband Richard Trevithick, sister Norma (Ken)Ferguson, sister in law Constance Anderson, son Timothy (Paula) Trevithick, daughter Elizabeth (John) Wright, son-in-law Mark McLean, grandchildren Ryan (Carol) Trevithick, MacGregor (Katelyn) Wright, Emily (Bryce) Boynton, Anne (Mike) Mengers, Anna (Anthony) Nguyen, Samuel (Bradley) Gavit, Allison (Jonathan) Abney, Laura (Timothy) Finnegan, and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to Trail Winds Hospice.
