She was born on November 23,1924, in Pueblo, Colorado to Walter Cecil Brewington and Etta Irene Goldie Brewington. They later moved to California where she spent most of her growing up years. She graduated from Colton Union High School in 1943 and attended San Bernadino Valley College in 1944 majoring in homemaking.
She married Wendell Allison Stewart on June 2, 1946, in the Jewell Memorial Methodist Church located in Colton, California. They moved to Boulder, Colorado in the fall of 1946 where he attended the University of Colorado majoring in Pharmacy. They moved to Longmont in June 1999.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling. They took several automotive trips around the continental United States as well as cruises to Alaska and Hawaii allowing them to visit all states. She also enjoyed genealogy and kept the family records up to date.
Both were active in church activities, most notably at First Presbyterian Church in Boulder. She was also involved in activities relating to school and the women's auxiliary of the Cosmopolitan Club. She spent most of her life being a homemaker, faithful wife, and mother.
Following her husband's passing in 2013 she lived at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living where she had many friends and loved the activities and especially the music events.
Preceding her in death were her husband Wendell, her parents and an infant son Michael Eugene. She is survived by a son Mark and his wife Cherie as well as a granddaughter Sara Stewart, all of Longmont.
No services will be held and her cremated remains will be scattered in the mountains near Boulder, Colorado by her family.
