Heaven Sent / Called home

Wife, Mother & Grandmother, Sister, and Auntie, Friend, Gail was all of these things.
A wife firstly because being with her soulmate John is what made her the happiest.
Itchy and Scratchy, a love story some might say but it was really a saga of pure acceptance, deep devotion and every day adventure. As a Married couple they would spend their free days Fishing at Barbour pond a little spot they found together which was coincidentally named or union reservoir in Longmont, Colorado. After the fishing came the frying and socializing and Gail and John always shared their bounties with family, friends and neighbors.
A loving mother and proud grandmother Barbara's legacy is further carried on by Her first
Son, Kenny Hampton and his wife Antoinette grandchildren Jasmine, Travis. Ariel, Kenny, and Quincy
Her oldest daughter Daylyna Hampton and grandchildren Mia, Najah, Nahjee, and Nyla.
Her youngest Daughter Reva Charles and grandchildren Tajenee, Landon, Novel, Novella and Stephen.
One of the middle children born to Robelia Pounds and Frank Hampton in Little Rock, AR Gail is survived by her many siblings, Josie, Roosevelt, Shirley, Carolyn, Frank, Rita, Curtis, Gurtha, Cathy, and Suprinia .
This is not a story of perfection but one of love and acceptance, one of light and positivity
because Gail was truly all of these things. For many people she was someone to confide in because she listened with her heart and not with judgement. For others she was a gracious host who also kept the laughs and jokes rolling. Gail was always there for different members of her family she is especially celebrated by her many nieces & nephews whom she influenced in one way or another throughout the years, even their children will forever cherish their memories of spirited auntie Gail.
From the west coast Bay Area to the Colorado Mountains Gail is forever remembered by those she touched with her laughter and sincerity. (She was thoughtful and kind, fun and easy going ) Gails energy would want us to celebrate her life just as we celebrate her reunion in heaven with her husband John, her grandchildren Justin and Jaya and her mother Robelia.
*Poem by her granddaughter*
Like ocean to land her heart beat with such strength
Take all of this world and put it in one
The sun was her smile
The sky was her eyes
The crazy storm she never would hide
Take all of the pieces of you and I, happy or broken she stood by our side
A love form a woman that made you feel warm
We leave her with peace for she is now safe .
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
John 14 : 1-3
