Nancy Hayes Christopher, 66, of Corona, CA, passed away May 27th, 2017. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February, 24th, 1951 to parents Russell L. Christopher Sr. and Mildred Woodbury Hayes. Nancy graduated from Monument Mountain High School in 1969 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from North Adams State College now known as Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She was briefly married to a gentleman named Bob Daly around the time she was in college. Nancy was a flower-child of the Sixties and a free-spirit. She grew up in the Berkshires of Massachusetts where she attended concerts at Tanglewood. She was even in attendance at the world famous Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. She was friends with Arlo Guthrie and Alice Brock, owner of the famous Alice’s Restaurant. She played a cameo role in the film based on the song. She spent some time exploring California, where her brother lived, before returning home to finish college. She had one son and raised him on her own in Amherst Massachusetts. Nancy worked in Sales and Marketing for Wal-Mart Corporation since 2003. She had a passion for lifelong learning and was recently taking an assortment of classes at Saddleback Community College. She loved to read and spend time at the library. She was often seen swimming in her community pool. She was Beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Nancy was survived by her only Son Stephen James Christopher, Brother Russell L. Christopher Jr., and Sister Wendy Christopher Goldfarb. She was loved and will be missed. Funeral arrangements will be held at 1 PM, Saturday 24th of June, 2017, at Stricklin/Snively Mortuary in Long Beach, CA.
