MILO ROBERT OLSEN was born June 19, 1929 on the Northwest side of Chicago, IL to Milo Olaf Olsen and Honora Catherine Canning. He had two older sisters who predeceased him. He passed away on July 28, 2024 at his home in Rossmoor, California at the age of 95.
He grew up in Chicago, went to Mozart Grade School, Lane Tech High School and the University of Illinois. He received a BA in Civil Engineering and later graduated from UCLA with a Masters of Engineering.
He met his one and only love, his wife Sylvia Lena Brato, in 1945 and they married on February 3, 1951. They moved to California in 1953. Milo joined North American Aviation/Rockwell and worked there for 31 years until his retirement in 1986.
He spent his retirement enjoying life and bonding with the family. He is survived by his wife Sylvia, son Robert Olsen, and daughters Cynthia Edwards, Debra Olsen and Randee Rocke as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
