Maureen Alyce Moak

Born February 16, 1959 in Long Beach, California; graduated from St. Anthony High School Class of 1977 and received her degree in Nursing in 1993. Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother (Meme), Maureen went to our Lord August 19, 2012 peacefully after her fourteen year battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Bill; son, Tim; daughters, Jamie Ann (Martin) Thomas and Molly Ann; and her precious granddaughter, Leah; her father and mother, Jim and Carlene Davis and mother-in-law, Susan Moak; sisters, Teresa (David) Kennison, Kathie (Rick) Boyer, Jamie (Larry) Davis-Newton, Kelly (Jeff) Hughes and brothers, Gordon Davis and John (Jennifer) Davis. She is also survived by sisters in-law, Susan, Cathy and Mary, many aunts, uncles and cousins, seventeen nieces and nephews and many wonderful and devoted friends. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, especially Dr. Simon Tchekmedyian, Dr. John Link and their staffs; Trinity Care Hospice, especially her nurse, Darcy Bulthuis and Dr. Gary Graham. Services will be held at St. Cornelius Catholic Church with a Rosary and viewing Thursday, August 23 at 7:00pm and funeral mass Friday, August 24th at 10:00am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations are made to St. Joseph Elementary School, 6200 E. Willow Street, Long Beach, California 90815 in the name of the Maureen Alyce Moak Tuition Assistance Scholarship Fund. We will always remember her for her strength and perseverance through her illness. Rest in peace our Angel.
