

Josefina “Fe” Madrinan Garabiles, 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday April 7, 2025. She is now reunited with her husband Jose “Sonny” Garabiles in heaven. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Josefina was born on March 19, 1944 to the late Filomeno Madrinan and Juanita Gallardo in Paete, Laguna, Philippines with siblings Virgilio Madrinan, Nemesio Madrinan and Josefina Calabig. Josefina is survived by her daughter Jeanette Garabiles Santos, daughter-in-law Ivy Santos and two granddaughters Roanne Janine and Jady.
Josefina graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 1963. She married her husband, Sonny, in December, 1964. Josefina was a gift shop and school supplies store owner in Victoria, Tarlac. She also had her own small beauty business inside her store. She had many artistic talents such as sewing, floral arranging, hairdressing, jewelry making and more. Josefina then went on to being a loving homemaker. Josefina was known as “Mommy Fe” to her grandchildren, whom she cared for many years. She is known as “TaFerts” to her nieces, nephews and friends. She was a gentle, kind, loving and patient woman.
Josefina was a devoted Catholic. She was a member of Catholic Charismatic Community (Philippines) and CFC Handmaids of the Lord (USA). Josefina was a prayerful woman, often attending daily mass and evening rosary. In the last few years, she also enjoyed going to the F & F Adult Day Care Center where she was an active participant.
In her free time, Josefina enjoyed watching EWTN, reading the Bible, enjoyed gardening, traveling the world and spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite things were flowers, hot tea and the color yellow. She is loved and will be missed dearly by those who knew her.

A viewing for Josefina will be held on April 26 at 10:00am at Stricklin/Snively Mortuary located at
1952 Long Beach Blvd
Long Beach, Blvd 90806.
Mass will be held at 11:00am with Fr. Ramon Pedrosa to honor our dear Josefina. Lunch reception after the Holy mass.
Josefina’s final resting place will be next to her husband, Sonny, at Victoria Public Cemetery in Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines.
