Jose Moraza Morales was born on September 14, 1920 in Sierra Blanca, Texas to Inez Moraza and Donaciano Morales. He was the second oldest of seventeen siblings. He passed away on September 7, 2015 in Temecula, California where he had resided for the last thirteen years. Although he only attended school through the second grade, our dad was very wise and intelligent in many ways. Our dad was an extremely hard working man. He started at a very young age working in the farm fields with his father from sun up to sundown. Our dad and mom met, married and started their lives in El Paso, Texas, where he worked as a tunnelman for the Portland Cement Company. They eventually moved to California where it became their permanent home. Dad worked for the Kelly Company, Baldus Bedding Company and Latchford Glass Company, where he retired from in 1985. Upon retiring he loved working in the yard and being outdoors. Dad was an avid Los Angeles Dodger fan and would not miss a game. He never went anywhere without his Dodger baseball cap. Dad loved spending time at the casino and would have a great time as long as he was winning!! He is survived by his children: daughter, Rosario Kaster; daughter, Olivia Miranda (George Miranda); son, Joe Morales Jr. (Marlene Morales); daughter, Gloria Zuniga (Gilbert Zuniga); son, Carlos Morales (Edna Morales); thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and four brothers. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Rita Coronado, his daughter Michelle Rodriguez, and grandchildren, Eddie and Rachel Kaster. He was loved very much by his family. He was the patriarch of our family and will be greatly missed.
