KELLY, FRANCES J., 85, who passed away November 28, 2011, was born in Massachusetts on MAY 27, 1926. She was married to Thomas Kelly on July 2, 1952 and their marriage lasted over 50 years. She and Tom raised a son Kenneth, with whom she lived in her later years with her daughter in law, Francine, and her granddaughters, Meghan and Kathleen.
Frances worked as a data processor for the Department of the Navy during World War II as a civilian clerk and later, at Addison Wesley Publishers as a data processor where she retired after over 30 years. She and Tom retired to Florida until his death in 2003. She moved to Long Beach, California thereafter to be with her son and his family.
Throughout her life, Frances was a devout Catholic. In her later years, she was a communicant at both St. Cyprian and St. Cornelius in Long Beach, California. She gave generously to her church, to the Marian Helpers and to other various Catholic charities.
Frances is survived by her son, Ken, her daughter in law, Francine, and their children, her granddaughters, Meghan and Kathleen. She is also survived by her brother, David Kard, and many nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed.
A Rosary will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2011, 7 p.m. at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary, Long Beach, California. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
