I had the privilege of spending time with Eric both in grade school and boy scouts. I'll never forget our friendship. Eric will be in my thoughts and prayers.

While nothing can help the hurt you feel, I hope you are able to take comfort in know how much Erick was cared for, and how many lives he touched.  I only knew him for a little while, when we met through a common game interest.  He was always smiling and helpful, with such a spark for life making connections. We'll miss him a great deal.

My condolences  to your family of the untimely passing of Eric. I was fortunate to become friends with Eric while we attended Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. We kept in touch after graduation and you raised a great man who had an amazing curiosity, caring personality and a desire to give back. I will definitely miss our talks, thanks for being an orignial Eric. May peace and love surround you at this time.

Eric though I only knew you for a short while, it was clear from the day you became our InfoVan driver at the Office on Aging that you were a very special young man.  So kind, so intelligent, so mature for your age.  You did your job with professionalism, commitment, honesty and integrity.  All of us loved working with you and you served our senior citizens well.

You got that job because your mother, Lynn, was literally my right hand person.  As you know, your Mom is a dear special soul.  And you were raised by that wonderful soul who instilled that same kindness in you.  And today I learned more about your father, Richard, and was so impressed with him as well.

Eric, the room was filled with people who love you, your family and each other.  What a wonderful tribute to you.  Your essence will live on in each of us, but especially your wonderful parents.

Lynn and Richard, thank you for sharing Eric with the world as his presence was felt deeply and his life, though short, made this a better place.  Be calm during the days ahead, knowing Eric is safe and Loved and that you will be reunited with him.

Eric, rest in Peace, thank you for being you, and know your loving impact on others will remain through Eternity.

I write to express my deepest condolences to you. Eric was a very dear friend of mine starting with our days spent together at U.C. Berkeley. He was very intelligent but humble, and very kind. He had all of those attributes and a very strong character. He will be sorely missed but also remembered. It was truly a privilege to have Eric as a friend, and to have been enriched by his presence. May his memory be a blessing.

Eric Michael, I am proud to be your uncle, for you remain so very much alive in my heart. I enjoyed being with you through all the passages of life, especially the few years you were at Mater Dei with me. There are so many fond memories I have of you: watching you play basketball on the patio with your Dad as a boy, watchingy you take your first belt test in Tai Kwon Do, the few afternoons you and your Dad and I went to the ball park and played catch and batted the ball around when you were a young adult, all the many dinners and barbecues your parents hosted on holidays and birthdays. I remember you getting your guitar and soon surpassing me in your playing. But most of all, I remember your smile, our conversations, your kind heart and how you gave your all to every endeavor.  I grieve now but carry you with me always. Your time with us was all too short.

Eric Michael's funeral started today
Eric had done everything our world asked of him
As I look up at the bright and sunny sky today it reminds me of his kindness, smiles, and joy that you always gave us
God gave us you Eric Michael and now you are in God's gracious care
We love and will miss you always, You allowed me to share your thoughts and point of view about life events when we always went to lunch or dinner together
I am happy and feel privileged that I had you in my life

I fondly remember time spent with Eric in our youth.  Keeping in touch with him periodically over the years, conversing about hobbies and careers, was always enjoyable in no small part because he was so intelligent, well spoken, and considerate.
