Mary Elizabeth Mcdowell

On February 9, 2012, Mary Elizabeth McDowell (Linton) in her 86th year passed away after a courageous battle, at University Hospital, in London Ontario. Mary was the loving wife of the late Stanley McDowell, 1980. Beloved mother of Barry (Ruth) McDowell, Philip (Ev) McDowell, Yvonne (John) Hebden, Cliff (Jacki) McDowell. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; Bryan McDowell, Andrew McDowell, Jenna McDowell (Hendrik), Matthew McDowell, Kari (Sean) Porter, Erin (Scott) Layman, Katie (Jeff) Brown, Stephen (Danielle) Hebden, Mike McDowell, Jennifer McDowell and 2 great grandchildren Ellie Brown, Mackenzie Porter and Aliya Scholten. Dear sister of Samuel Linton of Strabane, Northern Ireland and predeceased by her brothers Robert and Joe Linton and sister Doreen Warke. Mary leaves behind many close friends who were very dear to her. Friends and family will be received at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St.,London) on Sunday from 1-5pm. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11a.m. at Chalmer’s Presbyterian Church, 342 Pond Mills Road, London Ontario. Rev. John Bannerman officiating. Interment to take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In memory of Mary, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Chalmer’s Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged.
