VAN PELT, Katherine - Peacefully passed away in her 85th year on Tuesday June 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husbands, Thomas Wood and Marcus Van Pelt, her eldest son, Louis and her granddaughter, Yolanda. Dear mother of Louisa, Carmen (Gus), Eugene (Haidy) and Carrie (Larry). Beloved grandmother of Jennifer (Edmond), Jonathan (Jamie), Mathew (Julia), Alexandra, Ryan and great-grandmother of Jackson. Katherine will be missed by the Wood and Van Pelt families, her brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins from all over the world. Katherine was an amazing elementary school teacher and was loved dearly by her students. Friends and family are invited for a memorial gathering at NEEDHAM FUNERAL SERVICE (520 Dundas St.) on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 12pm where the family will be sharing their memories of Katherine.
